Use Numerals for the Following:

1. In general, all numbers

2. Whole and decimal numbers in scientific text, titles, headings, tables, and figure captions

3. To express mathematical relationships, e.g., ratios and multiplication factors

4. Zero or one when they are connected to units or specify assigned or calculated values, e.g., when z = 0 and a mean of 0, or when they are part of a series or are closely linked to other numbers, e.g., between 0 and 2.

5. Single-digit ordinals when they are part of a series including double-digit ordinals or are closely linked to double-digit ordinals

6. Single-digit ordinals when they are used repeatedly

7. Fractions greater than 1, given as mixed fractions
